Ms. Celenhle Dlamini serves as the current Chairperson of the National Arts Council of South Africa (NAC), the largest Government funding organisation for the Arts and Culture sector under the National Department of Sport, Arts & Culture. She is the former Chairperson of Artscape (the Western Cape State Theatre) and Deputy Chairperson of the African chapter of the Delphic Council . Celenhle also served on the global L’Oreal Panel of Critical Friends, an external global governance body responsible for examining the progress made by L’Oreal on its global sustainability programme.
Her passion for youth exchange programmes has led to her co-founded organisation, Ubuntu Institute, establishing one of Southern Africa’s largest youth international exchange programmes which has facilitated the placement of thousands of African youth abroad on formal internship programmes in the USA, Canada, Australia, UAE, China, New Zealand and the UK. She has been recognised for this work by the Mayor of Austin, Texas (USA) and awarded the Key to the City.
Ms. Dlamini holds a Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship & New Venture Creation (Wits University, South Africa), a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration (Bennett College, USA), Management Advancement Program (Wits University, South Africa) and an Executive Leadership Development Certificate with Duke Corporate Education (Duke University).
She is a proud mother of three beautiful children.
