Fanele (WK '10, '12) is studying towards a PhD in financial economics at Harvard University. His academic research interests are in empirical finance in low-income countries. Fanele has worked at McKinsey&Company in the United States, the Common Market of East and Southern Africa in Zambia and the Central Bank of eSwatini. Fanele obtained an undergraduate degree in philosophy and economics at Harvard University where he had the good fortune of winning the World Debating Championships and serving as the first black president of the College's Parliamentary Debate Union.
